Shaking In Public – Panic Attack Or Hormonal Imbalance?

When I am in a public place I start to shake. It has reached the point where I cannot pay for my groceries without shaking: I am afraid that I will not be able to stop shaking. Is this a panic attack, and, if so, what can I do to stop this from happening?

It sounds like your problem may require more support and guidance than I can give you through correspondence. My advice would be to see an internist or general practioner. She may deem it necessary to do some routine blood tests to check your blood sugar, thyroid and perhaps hormone levels. If she suspects that your problem is a form of panic disorder, she may suggest a therapist to help you for a period of time.

Depending on what the cause of the shaking is, supplements of a high-potency multivitamin mineral, B-complex, calcium and magnesium and the herb kava may help. However, I still recommend going for an evaluation.

Suggested Dosages:

  • Kava extract — 1 cap, 3 times a day
  • B-complex — 1 cap, 2 times a day
  • Multivitamin — Follow package directions and take a minimum of 2 a day
